REFLECTION ON CHALLENGES TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.
As we all know, we have 17 sustainable development goals but as of this entry, I would like to focus on goal no 2 which is zero hunger. Many poor countries these days are far from reaching thus goal due to inequalities access to nutrients. According to the Star.com, children under 5 years old are most likely to suffer malnutrition compared to the adults who are most likely to become overweight. There are so many articles online, stating that low income families in Malaysia are one of those people who is lack of nutrition due to pandemic. Most of them could not afford to buy a balance food and also the most important food for a child- milk. Milk is great in providing nutrition to kids since not all kids are good in eating solid food but milk is very familiar to them. Besides, not all kids love to eat vegetables and fruits in their daily life. I personally think the minister should be aware because this kids are the future leader of the country. Most parents did not know where to reach for help since they lost their jobs and their salaries were cut due to this global pandemic. Advertisement thru social media and television will be great to do to help more people and change their fate.
