REFLECTION OF UNGS on EDUCATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Education plays a big role in the economic and social sustainable development to our country. In Malaysia, our country seems to be stepping up their game in our education system with the new 21st century Learning style. As a student that finished study few years ago, I personally think that the education system should not only focusing on academics and sports but they also need to to prepare students for the real world which is after school life. For instance, sex education. Statistics have shown that the number of students from high school drop out due to being pregnant is rising. In addition, since we are all living in a pandemic, we can see that there are many articles talking about students mental health due to online learning stress. There are many students stress on juggling between study and life economically. They suffer a lot of stress because almost everything in on the edge. According to the Asean post, about 24 million students are making decision to drop out of school because of this current global pandemic. In conclusion, the education minister should take into account of these things and conduct a plan that can cater  this issue.
