WEEK 6, CHALLENGE 5
HI Everyone! In today's post I'll be sharing about......COMPOSITION! Oh before I start, let me tell you that this is my most favorite topic and challenge so far! I think this topic has made my love for photography grow bigger LOL. Okay now enough about me, let's back at it. So if you read my first post, I mentioned about composition but I never tell you what it is.
Composition is basically how the elements in a photo is arranged. In conjunction with the topic learnt, we have watched a video of certain "rules" to capture our photos. Some of the rules are rule of third, symmetry and many more (you may google or ask me privately because it will take pages to type it here). Our lecturer also was very helpful in ensuring we produced only the best photos according to the rules.
A reminder to everyone including myself when applying the rules is DON'T FORGET THE STORY YOU WANT TO TELL USING THE PICTURE YOU HAVE CAPTURED ACCORDING TO THE RULES. I tend to capture according to rules to ensure I have an aesthetic photo but I'll forget about the story. Because in every photo, there should be story behind it or a story we want people to know. I mean, if you upload a certain photo on your social media, you must want people to understand what are you trying to tell, and the caption helps you in conveying the story/message isn't it? To make it simpler, the rules is just to guide us to capture better photos, not making the picture meaningless.
I will attached my photos and also the rules in the caption. If you have any question to ask, or confused with how do I applied the rules, drop your curiosity in the comment section and I'll try my best to help you understand it.
