LEARNING DURING PANDEMIC COVID-19

When someone say learning, a picture of classrooms, books, teachers, and schools will usually come across our mind. However, during this pandemic we can't go to school or university to ensure the virus didn't spread and make the situation become worse. Who would have thought we all got the chance to be a part of those who 'home-school' ? Jk. As instructed by our  Minister of Education, all of us are now in home and currently in the distance learning mode, so in today's post, I would like to share some of the benefits and challenges students might face in this learning mode

BENEFITS :
1. Flexibility
~ Students can attend classes from anywhere on anytime.
2. Easy access
~ Instantly access course materials, schools, assignments & lessons.
3. Affordability
~ Less costs than traditional learning. In this case, traditional way require papers, whiteboard markers, higher university fee and many other things while online learning only costs you internet access and a device.

CHALLENGES :
1. Networking accessibility issues.
~Students especially in rural area might have to work harder because of the unstable connection.
2. Limit of technologies devices.
~Some can only afford to buy a device for the whole family member usage,
3. Lack of teacher experience in e-learning.
4. Timing & scheduling
~The different timezone make it harder for some students and teachers.
5. The curriculum (or some part of activity conducted in education institution) not suitable for distance learning.

In the next post, i'll write about the responsibility of everyone involved in distance learning to ease the learning process. In the meantime, write down below of what you think about this distance learning.
